Who is Bravo Maids?
Bravo Maids is a family-owned San Diego cleaning company specializing in steam-first clinical sanitization for homes and apartments throughout San Diego County. Founded by Jason Ellis, the company deploys Certified Cleaning Specialists trained in a documented 275°F thermal shock protocol designed to eliminate biofilm at the molecular level — the same standard used in dialysis and surgical environments. Every service is covered by $2M aggregate liability insurance and backed by a satisfaction guarantee.

The “Surgical” Standard
My mother was a surgical nurse for 45 years—38 of them at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL, and her last seven at Redbud before she retired. I didn't grow up learning how to “tidy up.” I grew up understanding the clinical standard: that what you can't see—biofilm, pathogens, contamination vectors—matters more than what you can. That distinction between visually clean and genuinely sanitized became my baseline. I also watched what 45 years of hard physical work does to a body. That's why every person on this team earns a living wage—not as a marketing line, but because I've seen the real cost of treating that labor as disposable.
The Engineering Background
I'm originally from the Midwest. My career was in IT—starting at AccessUS, a regional internet provider, then Bank of America as a Software Engineer, then as a Software Engineer II at Mastercard in O'Fallon, MO. That background taught me one thing above all: systems work when they're documented, repeatable, and held to a defined standard. Guesswork doesn't scale and it doesn't protect anything.
I'm still building. After launching Bravo Maids I realized the operations platform I actually needed didn't exist—so I built it. It handles scheduling, customer communications, and quality tracking across both my companies, and it runs on AI integrations I developed myself. The same engineering instinct that served me at Mastercard is still active; it just has a different output now.
How This Started
A friend needed volunteers to help clean Fresenius dialysis clinics. I showed up, put on a podcast, zoned out, and found the work genuinely meditative. I also found something else: an industry operating on zero documentation and zero accountability. No protocols, no verification, no standard. I moved out West, saw the gap clearly, and built Bravo Maids to close it—bringing the same systems mindset I used in IT to an industry that had never seen it. I've since opened a second company back home in the Midwest. My wife and I have been married since 2013, we have two stepkids, and two nephews who keep me honest about what matters.
The “Asset Preservation” Protocol
I founded Bravo Maids to bring Systems Engineering to home hygiene.
- •We don't just “clean”; we execute a Volumetric Protocol.
- •We don't rely on “trust”; we rely on Verification (hence our Sanitization Receipts).
- •We don't hire “cleaners”; we partner with Specialists who follow a programmed checklist.
I built Bravo Maids the same way I built enterprise networks: with defined protocols, redundant quality checks, and zero tolerance for failure.

- Systems Thinking
Every clean follows a documented protocol. No guesswork, no shortcuts.
- Automation
Scheduling, quality tracking, and client communication — all systematized.
- Zero-Defect Standards
The same mindset that kept financial networks running keeps your home spotless.
- Data-Driven Decisions
We track what works and improve constantly. Not gut feelings — evidence.
San Diego properties face unique challenges—salt air along the coast corrodes surfaces differently than inland dust. Beach-adjacent homes deal with sand ingress that standard cleaning ignores. We mapped every microclimate in the county and built protocols to match. Your home's geography determines your cleaning plan.
